The documentary “Not a Game” enlightens viewers about the wonders of gaming and esports as well as the potential dangers within the field.

The documentary covers different stories about video games and how they have changed people’s lives for good and bad. One of the positive stories covered in the documentary is the rise of Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora from an aspiring CS:GO talent to a professional player for Ninjas in Pyjamas. Furthermore the documentary tells tales about how video games and people working within the video game industry have helped people with chronic diseases improve their life quality and create joy in the midst of tough times.

But the documentary also covers the darker aspects of gaming, and the challenges excessive gaming can cause. One of the people you will encounter is Vini, a former gaming addict, who tells his story gaming became his getaway from the struggles in his everyday life, which led to him becoming more and more isolated from his family and friends. Luckily Vini sought help before it was too late, and is now doing a lot better. If you are in a dark place, then do like Vini and reach out for help! At We.Care we are always ready to offer support, and help you overcome the challenges you face.
